First B300 modular data centre deployment underway
Orders have been placed for the first modular data centre unit, together with the racks, chillers and cooling equipment required to operate it. The unit is designed as a repeatable module rather than a one-off facility.
The initial compute order covers eight Supermicro NVIDIA HGX B300 servers, providing 64 B300 GPUs. The module is pre-provisioned for 16 servers and 128 GPUs, so the second half of the compute can be added without re-engineering the facility.
Cooling for the module uses rear-door heat exchangers matched to high-density racks. Subsequent modules are planned to be imported on an approximately quarterly cadence, with each step progressed against contracted demand.
